Shipping methods and deadlines

Ground Shipping

We offer FREE ground United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority mail shipping on all orders. All orders placed by 11:59 p.m. EST may be processed the following business day and can ship out to arrive within 2-3 business days. When a shipping date is chosen, which is the date that the order gets baked and shipped out of our facility, the delivery will be 2-3 days (excluding sundays and holidays) later.  You may choose a future ship date on your order.

Next Day Delivery

There is an additional charge for next day USPS Express Mail delivery .  We do not do overnight shipping for sundays or Holdiays.  If you place your order on a Saturday before 10:00 am it will go out that day to arrive on the following business day (monday) providing it is not a holiday.  All orders placed after 3:00pm and before 11:59 p.m. EST(mon - Friday) will be processed the following business day and delivered the next business day after that. 
For example,

• Orders placed on Monday will ship Tuesday to be delivered Wednesday.
• Orders placed on Thursday will ship Friday to be delivered on Monday.

Shipping FAQs

The Great Cookie ships all of our packages via USPS from our bakery in Baltimore, Maryland. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or outside of the 50 United States.

Signature Required?

Residential addresses typically do not require a signature.   HOWEVER, if there is no one there to accept the package, and the USPS driver does not feel comfortable leaving it for ANY reason, she/he is NOT required to leave the package a notice is typically left at the location and the person can either call for either redelivery or may go to the post office in person to acquire the package.

Business addresses do require a signature, but not necessarily from the recipient whose name is on the box. Anyone in the building is able to sign/accept the package. Please be sure to include the company name and floor/suite number if you are sending to an office building. 

Return / Refund Policy

Because our products are perishable, all sales are final. The Great Cookie will be happy to replace any item in the unlikely event that they are damaged or spoiled during transit. We ask that you inspect the contents of your order as soon as they arrive to make sure that it meets with your satisfaction.

The Great Cookie is not responsible for damage or loss as a result of shipments being returned or being undeliverable as a result of incorrect address information you supply to us, or for the inability of the recipient to receive the package on the date that you specify.

Please realize that we are not in complete control of the delivery process through third parties such as the USPS and once the package leaves our hands and is in the Postal Services hands, we do not have control of the delivery process.  We can only provide you with the confirmation number to follow the proccess of the USPS and the knowledge that  it went to the recipient as specified on your order and will not be held liable for the loss there of, if any.  Any complaints of that nature should be referred to the United States Postal Service.

Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.
